WORSHIP

OUR CENTER AND OUR WAY OF LIFE

We gather together every week on Sunday morning to encounter the Triune God of Grace. All are welcome in this worship space where we are invited to come as we are, for Christ welcomes all.

Epiphany 2025

This Epiphany, AACRC will be focusing on the Belhar Confession. In worship, we’ll be exploring this incredible, contemporary confession, written by our cousins in the Dutch Reformed Mission Church of South Africa. The Belhar’s powerful words were penned in the depths of Apartheid, but their impact for us goes far beyond historical interest: these words are for us, and they are for now. Join us each Sunday as we explore the way God’s gathering and reconciling actions in Jesus call us to live out our faith in community.

What should I expect?

Scripture at Center

You’ll find the preaching of the Word at the center of every worship service at AACRC. This is because we believe that scripture points us to Jesus, and Jesus is the center of all that God has done, is doing, and will do—and for us, that’s the center.

Weekly Lord’s Supper

Because Jesus is at center, we also celebrate the Lord’s Supper every time we gather. The reason for this is simple: as John Calvin said, Scripture and Sacrament both hold forth the same Christ.

Rich and Varied Music

At AACRC, we like to say that each of us has a musical “heart language.” For some of us, that heart language is classic organ-led hymns. For others, it’s engaging worship team-led songs. This is more than “blended” worship—it’s an intention, not just a concession.

Dress Code Optional

You’re probably wondering what you should wear. The short answer is: you should wear what feels right to you. Chances are—whether you’re wearing shorts or a suit—there will be others wearing the same thing. God welcomes us as we are, so we welcome each other as we are.

It’s For the Kids

Children are people too! Nursery care is available during worship for children under 3 years old. Children’s Worship is available for children 3-5 years old after the children’s message. Faith formation for ages 5-grade 12 is before worship (September-May). Large and small group faith formation opportunities for adults are offered during this time as well.

Now Streaming

While the best way by far is to join in person, we know that’s not possible for everyone. So we stream our services on YouTube every week. You can find this week’s service below, or just go to our YouTube channel to subscribe or watch other video content from Ann Arbor CRC.

We’d love to welcome you!

Join us any Sunday at 10:30am for worship, or contact us for more opportunities.
