I’m New

At Ann Arbor Christian Reformed Church, we are creating a community that embodies the love that Jesus taught us. We want to make room for you, welcome you, and share life with you. We see our world as being renewed through God’s Spirit, and we hear and respond to God’s call for the restoration and renewal of all things. Together we are transformed by the love of Christ and forever changed by his grace.

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings we worship together at 10:30 am (worship is also  live-streaming on YouTube  with a new link on our homepage at aacrc.org every week). Typically, from September through May, Sunday faith formation for all ages happens before worship.

Where are we located? 1717 Broadway, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. We are just up the hill off Plymouth Road, near the North Campus of the University of Michigan.

Parking? We have parking at our building. In the unlikely event that our lot is full overflow parking can be found behind the U of M music school building up the hill from us, left on Baits, left on Gilbert Court just past the brick building , and left into the parking lot.

What to wear? We are a mixed bunch of families, singles, students, and retired folks. Some of our members dress casually and others dress in dress pants and dresses. Wear whatever is comfortable for you and you will fit right in with our eclectic mix!

What is there for kids? Children and youth are welcome in worship.  From September through May, our faith formation hour for ages 5-grade 12 is before worship,  (Large and small group faith formation opportunities for adults are offered during this time as well)

During the worship service, nursery is provided for children under 3 years old and Children’s Worship is provided for children 3-5 years old.

What will happen in worship? We gather together every week to encounter the Triune God of Grace. All are welcome into this worship space, where we are invited to come as we are, for Christ welcomes all. We give thanks to God in song, prayer, and word. We hear and participate in the story of God’s love. We gather around the table to celebrate the Eucharist. This is the meal Jesus gave as a sign that, just as he loved the world and gave himself for it, now we also give ourselves for the healing of the world.

If you visit us on a Sunday, please connect with one of our Greeters at the Welcome Center. We’d love to meet you.

Connecting as a covenant community

We are a community founded on the principle that every person is created in God’s image and thereby endowed with inherently equal worth. In this context, we commit to a covenant of fidelity to each other. We think healing, love, and care happen best in community relationships and would love to connect with you.

Our community is committed to walking with one another in our faith journey. Our House Groups provide a space for praying and studying with a small group of committed Jesus-followers and seekers. For the month of September in 2021, we’re gathering for lunch after the service- if you are new among us, we’d love to have you join us after the service for a meal on the lawn! We also have seasonal opportunities for service that include the Habitat for Humanity House of Faith build, Rotating Shelter, and hosting the summer SERVE experience for middle-schoolers.

Thanks for considering Ann Arbor Christian Reformed Church and we look forward to seeing you soon!
