Lent 2021: with

Our focus: Jesus shows us a God who is “with.”  Jesus is with the poor, the marginalized, the sinner, the leper, the Pharisee and the tax collector.   Jesus is with us.  In a season where isolation and loneliness are painfully real, God’s mission of “with” is all the more needed.  This Lent, we reflect on our relationships with God, Others, Creation and Self.  And we remember the powerful and vulnerable God who is “with” us, and who calls us to follow him into the vulnerable places.

Read more  about our Lenten worship as we ponder “withness.”

Our practice: The 40 days of Lent are a time when we pause to consider our relationship with God, the world, others, and ourselves. It is a time to reconnect and find a restoration of relationship, a renewed space of “with-ness.”  We have developed a Lenten prayer practice that can help you do those things. See the video and our blog post for more information.

Grace and Peace to you!

International Connections is online!

Welcome! We would like to meet you! If you’re an international student or scholar living in the Ann Arbor area, our programs are a great way to get to know the area and make new friends. At International Connections  you can learn all about what we offer, all-new for 2020 and including many ways to connect with Americans over video-conference.

As we do our part in slowing the spread of the Covid-19 virus and keeping the most vulnerable among us safe, ministry looks different. We encourage you to please continue to be active in prayer, in tithing, and in keeping in touch with each other. We want to continue to worship together, grow together, and serve together in this season, even though it might look very different! You are invited to stay connected to the ways we can do this by visiting our blog or signing up for our Connections weekly electronic newsletter or visiting our new YouTube channel. Fall programs will look a little different. Program leaders, council, pastors, and staff will be in touch as plans are put in place. Our church office has re-opened two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, with limited hours. Grace and peace.

We are a purposeful community transformed by the love of God and engaging the world with the grace and truth of Jesus through the practice of Christian hospitality.

Whoever you are and wherever you are from
we invite you to walk with us in the life to which Jesus calls us.
